Session P will take place Monday and Tuesday in the Grand Ballroom H of the greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward Country Convention Center. The detailed program is now available and covers a range topics and ecosystems, from the fundamental recruitment ecology to applied modelling and stock assessment implementations. This will provide a broad overview of the state-of-the-art knowledge on recruitment dynamics and their relevance for fisheries management. The panel discussion at the end of the session will be led by the panellists Claire Paris, Kenneth Rose, Rishi Sharma and Stephan B. Munch and will focus on persisting challenges regarding the understanding of recruitment dynamics and their implementation in assessment models and fisheries simulations. Questions and comments from the audience are very welcome and the debate specifically also aims at facilitating potential collaborations to move forward in tackling the questions around recruitment dynamics. The conveners of session P, Fabian Zimmermann, LaTreese Denson and Katja Enberg, are looking forward to your attendance and contributions in Fort Lauderdale.
